Uganda has been establishing itself in the past few years as a leader in specialty coffee coming from Africa.  We are excited to partner with a cooperative, located on the slopes of Mt Elgon in the Kapchorwa district that is focused on producing quality coffee.  The cooperative, shares the resources together and they have established four green houses and an Arabica seedling nursery and an eco-pulping washing station.  The coffee, grown on the slopes of Mt Elgon in the Kibali forest, provides 100% shade canopy, allowing controlled growth and producing a showcase coffee from this region.

Sales of this coffee help support Potters Field Kids in Uganda who each week, impact over 300 children through activities, education tutoring, snack and meal programs and more.  In addition, Potters Field Kids partners with a private school on the campus of Calvary Chapel Entebbe to provide a quality education for the children, providing over 120 scholarships.  We see this as true transformation in this country and supports what we call, “Great Coffee with a Great Cause.  For more information on Potters Field Uganda, check out their website at: http://www.pottersfield.org/about/pfk/uganda/
